Medium’s Americentric Algorithm Problem — Make it Stop!

It doesn’t matter how many I hide, they keep coming

I signed up for a Medium account to support the writers whose stuff I like to read, among other things. I know which subjects interest me. Equally there are subjects that hold little to no interest for me, or I read so rarely that they don’t warrant multiple daily recommendations and constant bombardment of the “What we're reading.”
