Starlight.

A trillion trillion trillion trillion incandescent bulbs exploding across 1.4 million kilometres.

9 billion pairs of eyes turned skyward, watching the greatest marvel of all time, the fireworks to end all fireworks, you could say the greatest display in a million years.

Or a billion years.

Mercury is gone, vapourised at 30 million degrees Celsius.

All becoming nothing.

Starlight.
